The patented ActiveID 3D Biometric Camera and matching algorithms deliver the first facial method that will effectively reject dedicated impostors without inconveniencing authorized users equal error rates as low as 1% guaranteed, with independent Government test results approaching fingerprint performance. New ActiveFusion Multi-Biometric Technology fuses 3D face with additional biometric modalities to improve accuracy compared to any single biometric. Robustness:
Facial shape is highly invariant with respect to pose and illumination changes, two major problems with 2D facial recognition. The unique ActiveID Biometric Camera uses no lasers or projecters to acquire 3D facial shape, enabling it to operate effectively under the widest range of illumination conditions in the industry.

Spoof-Resistance:
No known or proposed spoofing method is capable of fooling the ActiveID Biometric Camera's FaceVision technology. In prison installations previously plagued with high levels of dedicated spoofing and impostor attempts that sometimes overcame fingerprint plus manual facial image comparison, not one prisoner release error has occurred after nearly 100,000 real prisoner release control transactions using FaceVision-enabled ActiveID systems. Reduces secondary inspections by intelligently handling single sensor failures in multi-biometric deployments. Enables human guards to perform precise positive identification at secondary inspection by comparing a live subject to an enrolled 3D facial model at forensic precision, from nose shape to scar patterns.
